Steam challenge

On october 16 2019 Te Neghere did a steam challenge. What we had to do was make a Tower out of two pieces of newspaper and 30 cm of tape, also we had 20 minutes to build the tower. We got into  groups of two.My group was Isaiah, Stilwell and me. Something I learned from this is that you don't need too many materials and you need to keep an eye on the time. Also I learned that more time means better build.

Tips To Keep Safe In The Sea

On Thursday Tracy came to teach us about how to to stay alive when your boat capsizes and it sinks. So I learned that you should leave your radio channel on 16 because that’s the coast guard channel, you can buy a beacon that can track you down, but they cost 400-500 dollars, but there is an upside to it they last for 3 days. Also tell the coast guard where you're going and what time you will be coming back, put yourself first eg if it is too risky do not do it, always check the weather before you go out and make sure you and your parent  put a life jacket on.
